The appointed Electro–Mechanical Design Engineer will undertake the design, development, and transition into production of new or modified products and processes in accordance with company procedures. You'll need to understand the technical design issues related to concept prototyping and full–scale manufacturing for a range of projects. As Mechatronics Engineer you will take a lead role in developing mechanical systems and contribute to the development of their electrical / electronic systems alongside their highly skilled engineers.Electro–Mechanical Design Engineer – Role and Responsibilities – Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, MechatronicsAct as a Mechatronics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the work of the RD&D departmentPrepare proposals for product development including Project Plans, resource scheduling and costingLiaise with suppliers and lead development programmes with suppliersSupport with the design, development and testing of electronic instrumentationPerform development activities to agreed timescales and costsLead and / or support FMEA activitySource materials and components for prototype manufactureCollate data and technically report design and development activitiesMaintain technical documentation and reportsEnsure the effective transition of development items into volume manufactureElectro–Mechanical Design Engineer Skills and Experience – Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, MechatronicsDegree equivalent in Mechatronics Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering preferredAt least 10 years experience as a design engineerExcellent understanding of mechanical design principlesA good understanding of electrical and electronic designExperience of New Product Development NPDPractical Engineering Skills and Good Workshop PracticeElectro–Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, Mechatronics, Design, R&D, DevelopmentIf this role could appeal please do apply now! #J-18808-Ljbffr
