About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled
Electronic Design Engineer
to join a dynamic and innovative engineering team based in
Shaftesbury, Dorset . This is a hands-on, on-site role suited to an engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys seeing their designs come to life in real-world applications.
You will play a key role in the full product development lifecycle, from concept through to production, delivering high-performance electronic solutions for commercial and industrial use.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits. Produce and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs. Collaborate with software, mechanical, and production teams to bring products from concept to manufacture. Prototype, test, and debug hardware, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Support continuous improvement and provide input on existing products. Keep up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in electronic design. Required Skills and Experience: Degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in electronic hardware design (analogue and digital). Proficient in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar. Experience working with microcontrollers and embedded systems. Solid understanding of communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART. Experience with EMC compliance and design for manufacture. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communicator and team player. Desirable: Familiarity with embedded firmware development (C/C++) Note: Applicants must have full right to work in the UK at the time of application.
