Electronic Test Engineer - Space Electronics

We’re looking for an experienced Electronic Test Engineerto join our growing engineering team, focused on developing and validating next-generation electronic systems for space.In this role, you’ll play a key part in testing and verifying complex PCB assemblies, semiconductor devices, and embedded hardware components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability from prototype through to production.This is a hands-on position that requires a strong foundation in electronics, proficiency in software tools and instrumentation, and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and data analysis.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and execute test plans and procedures for PCBs, semiconductors, and electronic componentsPerform component- and board-level diagnostics using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and other lab equipmentWrite test scripts and control instrumentation usingVISA APIandC++Analyse test data, identify trends, and provide detailed reports with recommendationsCollaborate with hardware, software, and design teams to resolve technical issues and improve test coveragePerform precisionsoldering and reworkon SMT and through-hole boards as requiredExperience:Degree in Electronic Engineering or related disciplineProven experience inPCB design and testing, including schematics and layout understandingGood working knowledge ofsemiconductor testing, failure analysis, and device behaviourStrong experience withinstrument control and automationusingVISA APIandC++Ability to analyse large sets of data and present findings clearly and conciselySkilled inhands-on lab work, includingfine-pitch soldering and board reworkFamiliarity with electronic test tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analysers)Exposure to EMC testing and compliance requirementsKnowledge of FPGA or microcontroller-based systemsJoin a collaborative team where your input directly contributes to product successIn return for your expertise and commitment, you’ll will be part of a friendly supportive team and have opportunities to develop your career further.Bluestream Recruitment is an Equal Opportunities Employer and operates as an Employment Agency for permanent recruitment and an as an Employment Business for temporary / contract recruitment.
