Reference number: 50222 Job title: Electronics Design and Lighting Engineer Salary: to £40,000 pa + benefits Location: Leigh Duration: Permanent Start date: ASAP GPW Recruitment are working with a specialist manufacturer in Leigh, we are looking to recruit an Electronics Design and Lighting Engineer on a permanent basis paying up to £40,000 pa. Working for this established, market leader, you will be involved in the design or upgrade of a range of products, initially working on LED light fittings to test and optimise designs and bring them into production. A knowledge of LEDs for lighting applications and LED lighting optics would therefore be an advantage, or failing this, a willingness to learn about this technology. The light fittings include a microprocessor-controlled Switch Mode PSU, so a knowledge of programming embedded microcontrollers (including ARM and PIC) would also be useful. The work will include hardware design, possibly some software design for embedded microcontrollers, testing and optimising LED luminaire optical design, product type testing and certification, the writing of product manuals, test procedures and other relevant design and production documentation.
