Job Title: Electronics Design Engineer

Location: Broad Oak. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £48,180 Depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing

  • Immediate work will be design proving of first off PECs to allow integration into system
  • Compliance Proving
  • Developing test jigs for PECs (custom interface boards)
  • Development of test specifications
  • Supporting system integration and design proving
  • Maintaining good documentation of design information
  • Engagement with hardware and software engineers both within the local team and with other sections.
  • Implementation of required design changes (updating circuit designs and working with PCB Layout engineers)

Your skills and experiences

Essential:

  • A good understanding of electronic design both Analogue & Digital
  • Degree qualification or time served experience
  • Capable of circuit analysis
  • Good practical fault finding skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of operating in a defence or high safety integrity environment
  • Experience of low-noise analogue techniques
  • Knowledge of high-power techniques (kW level)
  • Experience of FPGA/CPLD development
