Our client is developing pioneering video and imaging systems for use in space, capturing breathtaking real-time perspectives of Earth and future missions across the Solar System.We’re seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer to take ownership of designing and developing advanced electronic systems that will operate in some of the harshest environments imaginable.This is an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of technology, combining high-speed digital design, power electronics, and imaging hardware within a fast-moving, collaborative startup culture.What You’ll Do:Lead the design and development of analogue and digital electronics for high-resolution video camera systemsOwn projects end-to-end, from concept and schematic capture through to board layout, prototyping, and flight hardware qualificationWork closely with multidisciplinary teams on hardware integration, FPGA interfaces, microcontrollers, and high-speed serial data linksOversee manufacturing, assembly, and environmental/electromagnetic testing with trusted partnersMaintain design documentation, test reports, and assembly proceduresWhat You’ll Bring:5+ years’ experience in electronic design, from concept through productionProven experience with PCB design, simulation, and hardware debuggingStrong knowledge of interfaces and circuit elements such as I²C, SPI, RS422, Ethernet, MIPI/CSI-2, LVDS, USB, PCIe, and power management circuitsComfortable working hands-on in a lab environment, testing, iterating, and innovatingExperience in high-reliability or harsh-environment sectors (space, aerospace, defence, or automotive) is a plusWhy Join:Be part of a mission that’s literally out of this world, building systems that operate beyond EarthWork alongside some of the brightest minds in imaging and electronicsCompetitive salary, healthcare, pension contribution (6%), and 25 days holiday + public holidaysHybrid flexibility with the opportunity to work remotely for suitable tasks
