At ALTEN UK, you'll play a key role in supporting a fuel pump Hall Effect sensor project for a major aerospace client, contributing to both the functional and physical design of complex motor and sensing systems.This is your opportunity to work in a highly secure, real-world defence environment, gaining exposure to Hall Effect sensors, magnetic field analysis, and rotating component design.Key Responsibilities:Review functional requirements and support the design of Hall Effect sensor systemsContribute to magnetic field analysis using tools like MotorCAD or MaxwellDesign and layout PCBs for sensor integrationProduce CAD models and technical drawings for rotor and stator componentsSupport integration with fuel pump housings (Demo MFPU)Assist in sourcing components and engaging with suppliers in line with MOD protocolsQualificationsKey Skills & Experience:2-4 years' experience in electronics or electromechanical engineeringStrong PCB design experience (Altium, KiCAD, Eagle, etc.)Confident creating mechanical CAD models (e.g. SolidWorks, NX, CATIA)Knowledge of Hall sensors, signal conditioning, or sensor integrationUnderstanding of rotating machines, motors, or actuator systemsMust be a British CitizenAble to work on-site in Derby (hybrid working available)Nice to Have:Familiarity with magnetic simulation or field modelling toolsPrevious experience in a defence or aerospace settingUnderstanding of MOD component sourcing and quality/security standardsAdditional InformationWhy join us?We foster a community of dually talented individuals who are both entrepreneurs and technology specialists.
