Elite Transient Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer (including Warrant Officer) covering Canterbury(CT)/Medway(ME). Location: Transient. Department: YUS - FT13 - General Engineers. Compensation: £44,805 / year. Hours: Working away - 2 weeks out of 4. Travel time paid with a daily sustenance allowance of £25.

We’re looking for talented and ambitious engineers to join our rapidly growing business in the commercial metering sector. The Elite Transient Dual Fuel role involves working in various locations across the UK, with three weeks out of four away from home and a mix of warrants and engineering visits. This role emphasizes customer outcomes, quality, safety, and a flexible, upskilling path.

Key Responsibilities

• A ‘can-do’ attitude with participation in a variety of field metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes
• Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal and ongoing maintenance of metering systems and related equipment and communication systems
• Undertake Debt Resolution Visits to fit a Smart Meter and help customers manage debt
• Undertaking Warrant Officer visits to recover debt

Upskilling and Career Path

• Upskill to Three phase, Medium pressure, and related metering capabilities
• Possible progression to Half Hourly / CT Metering and Gas U16 – U40

Requirements and About Yü

• Essential Qualifications / Experience
  • Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) Experience
  • Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
  • Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
• Desirable
  • MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
  • Current Transformer (CT)
  • Three Phase
  • REGT1-Medium Pressure
• Additional Requirements
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Pass a colour blindness test
  • Pass a DBS check
