Our OEM Client based in Bruntingthorpe, Lutterworth, is searching for an Engine and Chassis Dyno Test Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Job Purpose:
To test and develop prototype motorcycle powertrains utilising engine test cells and chassis dynos. Working alongside vehicle development and project design teams to ensure product validation.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out testing and development in line with procedures and test plans.
Installing and configuring engines into the test cells.
Working alongside the EMS team with base engine calibration.
Facility maintenance, calibration and equipment setup.
Analyse, process and present test data.
Assisting engine build and changes during testing.
Perform vehicle emissions tests.
Personal Specification:
Competent timekeeping and attendance.
Good communication skills and ability to work with others.
Strong engineering principles knowledge.
Experience Required:
Previous experience within engine test cells or chassis dynos and emissions testing.
Experience Preferred:
Previous experience with AVL equipment such as Bobcat, Puma and Indicom.
Experience with engine calibration tools such as ETAS INCA.
Education Required:
Proficient IT skills.
A levels or relevant college qualifications.
Education Preferred:
Relevant engineering qualifications.
