About the Role
We are seeking an
Electrical Engineer
to join our team, you will be reporting to the Engineering Lead. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a wide range of equipment through proactive and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repair.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with management and fellow engineers to carry out plant repairs and maintenance. Install new equipment or modify existing systems. Deliver safe and compliant electrical and instrumentation maintenance, including fault finding and repair. Conduct testing and commissioning of plant during maintenance periods. Record all activities in the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Ensure plant safety for maintenance activities, including receiving/authorising permits. Support quality, environmental, and health & safety performance targets. Contribute to operational initiatives and continuous improvement plans. Collaborate with safety improvement teams. Make sound engineering decisions regarding equipment maintenance and operational availability.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, supported by a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent experience. Strong technical knowledge gained in large-scale, complex factory environments. Familiarity with IOSH Working or Managing Safely. Proven experience in problem-solving, fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement. Experience working in lean operating environments and multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to health and safety.
