Job Purpose
Provides engineering solutions as part of a SSE project taskforce, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules, and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.Job Description
Responsible for new product development, BOM, technical Documentation and calculations related to highly customized and high quality Industrial products such as valves and Choke . Provide engineering support for internal and external needs.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work on product design and development activities.
· Develop innovative and cost effective mechanical designs using plant standard procedures, engineering knowledge and experience.
· Work with team and technical leads to build concept designs & develop final design for NPD & VA/VE programs.
· Do design calculations, design reviews, develop test plans & execute product validation tests in test lab with the help of testing team
· Perform related engineering calculations by using the Mathcad.
· Work with designer and manufacturing engineers, follow the manufacturing and assembling process, employ problem solving skills to resolve issues encountered.
· Create & Review of 3D models, assemblies, drawings and BOM
· Teamcenter Knowledge added Advantage
· Work independently or as a team member in the global engineering team
· Interact with global engineering teams on technical and project management activities
· Liaise with production plant during build process
· Engineering change management with internal departments
· Responsible for quality, OTD and efficiency on design and drawing outputs
You are meant for this job if:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
· BE degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-7 years of related working experience
· A thorough knowledge of machine design, fluid mechanics, vibration, strength of material, metallurgy, ASME , API codes, and manufacturing processes.
· Design knowledge in Gate Valves & Choke Valve will carry weightage.
· Ability to design and generate creative mechanical solutions; translate concepts and information into images; apply design principles, solve practical problems
· Familiar with industry specifications such as API 6D,API 17D ASME Section VIII, etc. and able to interpret and apply as required
· Knowledge of GD&T is essential.
· Basic knowledge of FEA
· Strong interpersonal skills for communicating thoughts and ideas
· Able to work responsibly without close supervision individually or in team environment
