M&E Engineer

Mobile Role (Within 2 Hours of Bury St Edmunds) Salary:

Up to £45,000 + Company car/Car allowance Contract:

Permanent, full time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer to join a dynamic team providing facilities management and maintenance services for high-profile clients. This is a mobile role, requiring travel to multiple sites within a 2-hour radius of Bury St Edmunds. What You'll Do As an M&E Engineer, you will be responsible for: Ensuring the effective and timely delivery of maintenance and project work, in line with Safe Systems of Work.

Assessing the competence of skilled personnel and producing high-quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

Providing technical support to site teams, supply chain partners, and end users.

Supporting project work, reducing corrective actions, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability.

Advising on safe operational procedures and compliance standards.

Supervising, coaching, and developing skilled staff to operate safely and effectively.

Building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless operational delivery.

What You'll Bring Fully qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer; AP tickets in Electrical or Mechanical are desirable.

Significant practical experience with Safe Systems of Work and compliance management.

Proven ability to problem-solve, make independent decisions, and work across multiple sites.

Experience supervising site operations, managing resources, and leading staff.

Full UK driving licence is essential, as travel between sites and participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota may be required.
