Our Scotland East Division is looking to recruit an Engineer to join the Division’s Technical team.Role location: Livingston, Scotland. This is a full-time position within the engineering and technical teams.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Engineering Manager and manage a number of developments, delivering relevant engineering information to a high degree of accuracy and on time.Work alongside senior team members to gain experience in day-to-day duties.Control and co-ordinate all engineering information between external consultants and internal departments.Check all engineering drawings and details for accuracy, correctness and commercial suitability.Ensure technical approvals are received for S38 and S104 agreements.Liaise with external consultants to ensure deadlines are met.Apply for and secure statutory body approval of Engineering Design and Ground Remediation.Attend site visits and meetings to resolve problems during the construction process.Attend design meetings with highways and drainage departments to gather requirements from a council perspective for new developments.Provide engineering and technical support to the site teams.Experience and QualificationsExperience of working within volume house building or consultancy-based roles; AutoCAD experience is desirable.Experience carrying out duties as expected in an engineering role.Degree level or HNC/HND in Construction/Engineering with relevant experience.CSCS card or equivalent.Current full UK driving licence.Skills and CompetenciesStrong communication, listening, and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to express technical information clearly and concisely.Methodical, conscientious, organized, and able to deliver high standards.Problem-solving and delegation abilities; capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Proficient IT skills with Microsoft Office; able to adapt to new systems.Commitment to diversity and inclusion.Ability to manage and motivate a team.Working ConditionsOffice-based role with regular travel to development sites and meetings.Flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours worked.Core hours apply.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive salaryCompetitive annual bonusContributory pension scheme25 days holiday, plus bank holidaysAccess to discounts and benefits portalShareSave SchemeCycle to Work SchemeLife assuranceHoliday Purchase SchemeEarn and Learn OpportunitiesNotesWe reserve the right to close this vacancy if a large volume of applications are received. #J-18808-Ljbffr
