Job Purpose

An experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a track record in developing and implementing New Products and general business improvements to maximise production, profitability and customer service within an Aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience as a manufacturing engineer, preferably in Aerospace or other regulated industries, and excellent communication skills. The role requires a self-motivated individual who can work both in a team and on solo projects to maximise production effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Compile Work Instructions and Travellers
  • Create Process Flow Plans
  • Support production operations
  • Train operators on new processes
  • Take part in NCR & MRB activities
  • Ensure close out of relevant RCCA, supporting production
  • Review Specifications
  • Support the Engineering Manager in various tasks
  • Other duties as required

  • Liaises with relevant departments as required
  • Participates in cross-functional projects to ensure goals are achieved and solutions are implemented
  • Manufacturing Engineering supports production operations; role is a mix of office and shopfloor based

  • Works effectively as part of a team or using own initiative in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Engages in discussions and openly supports team decisions

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in Aerospace or other regulated engineering environments – Essential
  • Experience within Composite Manufacturing – Highly Desirable
  • Degree/HNC in Engineering and/or equivalent professional qualification – Desirable
  • Experience with continuous improvement techniques – Essential
  • Computer literate (MS Office proficient) – Essential
