What we are looking for:

FairPlay Sports Media are looking for an Enterprise IT Security Engineer to come on board and work with our new Enterprise IT Manager to take control of the monitoring and maintenance of out Cyber Security posture, working with our third-party SOC and being the first point of contact for any security alerts raised. This is the perfect role for someone with service desk experience who wants to move into a security focused role while still being involved in end user support and system upgrade projects. The Enterprise IT team are looking for a key part of a small team making big changes and delivering major improvements to the wider business.


FairPlay Sports Media comprises of around 260 individuals working out of multiple offices and remotely across the UK, Europe and the Americas. A leading brand in the price comparison market for betting and iGaming, with significant growth due to strong leadership into new markets and recent investment, we are looking for an individual comfortable working at a rapid pace and supporting users both in-person and remotely.


We currently have a mix of both Windows and Mac computers and Android and Apple mobile devices in our IT estate, all of which we need to provide exceptional end user support for while always ensuring a high level of security.


This is a blended role focusing on Cyber Security response and monitoring while also providing BAU support and being involved in Continual Improvement projects. You will be given great autonomy to find and deliver improvements to the Security of the Enterprise IT estate and wider business systems and work closely with stakeholders at all levels of the business to ensure a high level of user satisfaction.


Key responsibilities: (in no particular order)

· Day to day management of any Cyber Security Alerts and Incidents.

· Owning the documentation of the Security policies and processes in the business, reporting and proposing updates as and when necessary.

· Monitoring external sources for security alerts and updates to best practice, reporting back into the IT support manager with recommendations and ongoing concerns.

· Engage with all users throughout the business to support a security first mind-set and understanding.

· Ensure hardware and software is maintained and secure across the business and vulnerabilities are identified and patched.

· MDM security maintenance and updates across all devices (Intune/JAMF).

· Investigate security incidents and progress to resolution or escalation and where needed, actively liaise with other department’s support teams or other 3rd Party suppliers to resolve issues.

· Owning the review of major security incidents and identifying root causes and preventative measures.

· Carry out regular Preventative Maintenance to ensure the reliability and security of the Enterprise IT Estate.

· The potential for site visits to other FairPlay Sports Media locations as and when necessary.


Please note that this role follows a hybrid work model, with a mandatory requirement to work onsite at our London office at least two days per week.


Essential Knowledge and Experience: (in no particular order)

· Microsoft 365 Administration (Specifically Defender for Endpoint and Conditional Access)

· Security Alert monitoring and response

· MDM experience (Intune and JAMF)

· Cloud networking

· Zero Trust networking solutions (e.g. Prisma Access)


Desirable Knowledge and Experience: (in no particular order)

· Security+ or similar certification

· ITIL

· Cyber Essentials plus and other security audits

· Atlassian Cloud

· EntraID SSO

· Mimecast

· GRC

· ISO 27001
