OverviewESN Engineer role at Ericsson. The position involves owning a designated group of sites within a four-person team, proactively maintaining sites and collaborating with other ESN engineers and the wider FSO team to boost network resilience and availability. The role requires a flexible schedule, 24/7 on-call rotation, and potential shift work. Travel and stays away from home for service recovery may be required, especially on remote islands. In a major network event, you should be prepared to lead recovery in your own and adjoining areas. This role is based in Scotland with vacancies in Kyle of Lochalsh, Dumfries, Oban, and Lochinver, and applicants should reside in or relocate to one of these areas within a few months of appointment.What you will doConduct corrective maintenance activities and manage site facility operations.Take full responsibility for assigned Emergency Service Network (ESN) sites, proactively maintaining them to prevent failures, and coordinate with other technical teams to resolve issues.Lead problem management for your area, resolving major issues in your own and neighboring areas.Work individually and with the FSO and Ericsson teams to achieve right-first-time resolution within customer SLAs while maintaining safe working practices.Carry out reactive and proactive maintenance on multi-customer, multi-technology networks, achieving expected performance targets (Mostly EE/ESN).Participate in a 24x7 callout rotation covering all equipment in the service area.Assist in developing and reviewing FSO processes and procedures to maximise efficiency.The skills you bringRF transmission and receiver systems used in mobile communication equipmentAC/DC power systems (single-phase and three-phase), UPS systems and ESN generatorsSatellite backhaul systemsRectification and power distribution systemsGSM, UMTS and LTE fundamentalsCellular network fundamentals, mobility management, and cell planningRadio access network and core network architectureAntenna systems, masthead amplifiers, feeder systems and connectorsAdditional informationEmployment type: Full-timeSeniority level: Not ApplicableJob function: OtherIndustry: Telecommunications #J-18808-Ljbffr
