We are seeking a 3rd Line Senior EUC / Desktop Engineer to join a specialist End User Compute (EUC) IT services provider, modernising secure digital workplaces for high-profile UK Central Government departments.
Overview
As a Senior EUC Support Engineer you will be a Subject Matter Expert in either Windows or macOS desktop support and operating systems, providing expertise across enterprise scale environments. You will deliver 3rd line and escalation support for either Windows 10/11 or macOS environments, lead on OS updates, software deployments, security updates, and tooling optimisation, while playing a key role in projects such as UEM implementations, cyber security integrations, and hardware refresh programmes. You will also influence the endpoint technology roadmap, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and user centred.
Core responsibilities
- SME for Windows or macOS desktop environments, providing expert 3rd line and escalation support.
- Lead on OS patching, security updates, and software deployments using Jamf, SCCM / MECM, Intune and/or Workspace ONE.
- Contribute to major projects (UEM deployments, cyber security integrations, and hardware refreshes).
- Collaborate with Service Desk and 2nd line teams, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Identify service gaps, automate processes, and improve tooling for scalability, compliance, and user experience.
- Apply Zero Trust principles in all engineering activity, ensuring compliance with SC-cleared standards and ISO/IEC 27001.
Skills and qualifications
- Advanced Windows 10/11 or macOS in enterprise environments.
- SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Airwatch or Workspace ONE.
- Proficiency in scripting for automation and secure administration.
- Broad experience across desktop support, infrastructure support, systems management, and project delivery.
- Strong background in Microsoft or macOS enterprise EUC products and endpoint security.
- Demonstrable experience leading enterprise-scale projects (migrations, UEM deployments, hardware refreshes etc).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently.
