Fabric Engineer

Our client is currently looking to bring on an experienced, motivated, and dedicated Fabric Technician to join their Maintenance Team on a fantastic, state-of-the-art, flagship site based near Heathrow. In this role, you will be representing the client on site in a professional and polite manner whilst carrying out fabric duties, liaising with subcontractors, and actively seeking out work to carry out on site.
This is a static role, following a fixed pattern of 4 on 4 off, 6:30am - 6:30pm
Responsibilities: Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to ensure the efficient operation of all fabric-related tasks Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues, diagnosing and repairing fabric-related faults. General upkeep of the building, including painting, decorating, basic plumbing works, and basic electrical work. Carry out furniture moves and reconfiguration as needed. Maintain fire doors and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with other engineering and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation across the site. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work completed and parts used. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Requirements: Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer or similar role, preferably in a large-scale facility. Strong understanding of fabric systems, plumbing, and general building fabric. Experience with painting, decorating, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Flexibility to work either the early or late shift as required.
