Facilities Engineer

To supervise, control & maintain operating plants in a multidisciplinary capacity to ensure all customer demands are met while achieving reliability and efficiency targets.
Have a detailed knowledge of electrical standards and act as the site electrical champion and appointed person.
Supervise BOC and contract personnel in accordance with PTW requirements and actively support the sites SHEQ goals and targets.
Work in collaboration with the Remote Operating Centre in monitoring and improving plant performance and work to maintain good business relationships with customers and suppliers.
Act as senior person on site for plant emergencies and implement appropriate Site Emergency Plans
What makes you great
NVQ level 3 (minimum) or HNC (preferred) in an engineering discipline (Instrument/Electrical) with at least 6 years relevant practical experience.
Good working knowledge and experience of HV electrical and Compex systems.
Willingness to work outside the normal working hours as operational needs dictate and support the cover of a 24 hour callout system.
Good base knowledge and understanding of industry and statutory standards and codes of practice.
Detailed knowledge of Permit to Work procedures and experience of executing emergency plans.
Good basic understanding of current Health, Safety and Environment legislation (NEBOSH certificate preferred)
Some level of operating experience of ASU’s, SMR or other similar chemical plants would be advantageous.
Experience and ability to provide a high standard of customer service whilst working under pressure
Technical capability and competent to operate in multi-disciplined role in lone working situation.
Full driving license.
