Contract - Facilities Engineer/Project Engineer
Location - Remote working with travel to sites involved
- Lead the end-to-end procurement and delivery of production equipment for the clients factory—from requirements and sourcing through contract award, manufacture, factory/site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT), logistics, installation support and handover to Operations—ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality requirements are met.
- Scope includes major process equipment (e.g., conductor stranding, insulation/extrusion, sheathing, armouring, testing/QA) and supporting ancillaries, with interfaces across engineering, construction, commissioning, quality, HSE, finance and operations.
- Delivery & Governance
- Own the integrated plan for all equipment packages; maintain schedule, cost forecast, risk and change control.
- Chair supplier and cross‑functional reviews
- Coordinate with construction for foundations, services tie‑ins and installation sequencing.
- Procurement & Commercial awareness.
- Develop category strategies and procurement plans for each package.
- Prepare RFIs/RFQs; coordinate technical and commercial evaluations; lead negotiations and recommend awards.
- Coordinate delivery windows with construction and commissioning to minimise downtime and re‑work.
Risk, HSE & Compliance
- Maintain risk registers and mitigation plans (technical, schedule, commercial, HSE).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE standards and applicable regulations; promote a zero‑harm culture.
Experience required
- Degree in Engineering, or related discipline
- 3–5+ years delivering equipment procurement and/or EPC/EPCI projects in heavy industry (cables, offshore wind, oil & gas, steel, chemicals or similar).
- End‑to‑end delivery experience: specification development → tendering → contract management → FAT/SAT → delivery and installation support.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
