The Opportunity
Our client is seeking aFacilities & Maintenance Engineerto support the day-to-day operation of their production site in St Ives.
This is a multi-skilled, practical role covering electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, focused on minimising downtime, improving reliability, and keeping operations running smoothly.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

What Youll Be Doing
Carry outplanned preventive maintenance (PPM)and respond quickly to breakdowns.
Troubleshoot and repairfaults on mechanical and electrical site infrastructure.
Assist with theinstallation and commissioningof new equipment.
Maintain accurate records, identify trends, and supportcontinuous improvementusing the MaintainX platform.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve site facilities.
Ensure all work meetshealth, safety, and regulatory standards.
Support site services including lighting, power distribution, and general infrastructure.
Carry outfabrication workwhen required (welding, machining, basic fitting).
Contribute topredictive maintenanceactivities to reduce downtime.
What Youll Need
Must-Haves:
Proven experience in afacilities maintenance or engineering rolewithin manufacturing/industrial settings.
Strongelectrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
Hands-on experience with a wide range of machinery, tools, and site utilities.
Knowledge of industrial systems: compressed air, pumps, valves, motors, control panels.
Comfortable working on site infrastructure (plumbing, fire/security systems, electrical wiring, general maintenance).
Nice to Have (or Willing to Learn):
Familiarity with fabrication processes (welding, turning, milling).
Additional training in mechanical systems, fabrication, or facilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Level 3 qualification inElectrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering(or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulationscertification (preferred).
AM2 and Part P qualifications (desirable).
Personal Attributes
Proactive and self-motivated with ahands-on approach.
Excellentfault-finding and problem-solvingskills.
Organised with strongattention to detail.
Flexible with willingness to supportshift cover and occasional overtime.
Full, cleanUK driving licence.
