Field Based Electrical Maintenance and Fire Safety Engineer Pay: £40,000 - £45,000 per year Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday (including some nights away each week) About the Role Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Field-Based Electrical Maintenance & Fire Safety Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you'll carry out installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, fire detection systems, and portable fire extinguishers across a variety of commercial and industrial sites. This is a field-based position requiring travel to client premises, so flexibility and autonomy are essential. Key Responsibilities Install, inspect, and maintain low-voltage electrical installations in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) Test, service, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems to BS 5839-1 standards Carry out inspection, maintenance, and recharging of fire extinguishers in line with BS 5306-3/8/9 Complete and submit accurate reports, safety documentation, and compliance records Diagnose faults and propose appropriate corrective actions Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety procedures and fire safety legislation Ensure all jobs, maintenance or remedial works are attended to where possible, escalate to your line manager and the once if delays or difficulties are encountered Practice good housekeeping onsite and in vehicle Identify quality of work, rectify any mistakes that have occurred

Qualifications & Experience Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation or equivalent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) FIA Qualified in Fire Detection & Alarm System Design / Maintenance (or willingness to obtain) BAFE SP101 or equivalent qualification for extinguisher servicing Valid ECS Card or CSCS Card Full UK Driving Licence
