We are recruiting for a Field Engineer/Welding Inspector, responsible for performing surveillance to ensure activities are carried out according to the Contractor’s Work Information. You will be part of a team fulfilling Team Lead duties as outlined in the contract, ensuring HPC Quality standards are met.The role involves advocating for our Nuclear Safety Culture, embedding this approach across all project activities. The scope covers all works related to constructing the designated project section, with surveillance duties on the activities of the Works Contractors, including continuous, notified, and planned surveillance.You will report to the Construction Superintendent and will need to coordinate with other operational team members. Responsibilities also include adhering to and improving company policies, procedures, and protocols related to construction, health & safety, and other functions.Role responsibilities:Verify that the works are constructed per the contract, reporting non-conformance issues to the Construction Superintendent.Communicate proactively with site teams, ensuring timely surveillance reporting.Contribute surveillance data to support KPI indicators.Identify potential quality issues early to enable mitigation.Support team instructions for temporary safety measures, following up with appropriate actions to prevent work halts.Education, Experience, and Skills:Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Materials, Welding, or equivalent vocational training and experience.Broad knowledge of the Engineering Construction industry, materials, trades, and legal requirements.Excellent organizational, delegation, and communication skills; knowledge of French is advantageous.Experience in maintaining accurate diaries relevant to contracts.Proven experience working within large construction teams.Attention to detail, maintaining quality standards under pressure.Ability to establish effective relationships with contractors.Working knowledge of relevant standards such as RCC-M, BS EN, and ASME.Our CultureOur values are based on safety, integrity, inclusion, and diversity.
