Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Finning Engineer to join our team in one of the following locations: Leeds, Cannock, Cardiff, or Glasgow . This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary ranging from £38,500 to £43,800 .

Your Role
As a Finning Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer field repair and service requests, diagnosing issues, and providing detailed information for quotes.
- Estimating arrival times based on job instructions and customer locations.
- Communicating with site management to register your presence and adhere to customer procedures.
- Diagnosing equipment problems using specialized tools and collaborating with customer operators.
- Identifying required parts for repairs and managing requisitions.
- Performing repair and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators.
What You Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A valid LDV driving license .
- Formal training (NVQ Level 3 preferred) and significant experience as a service engineer.
- Experience with gas and diesel engines, including both LV and HV generators.
- Knowledge of field-based diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Experience with assembly and disassembly of diesel engines and components.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar large engines (e.g., 3400, 3500, 3600 series) and MWM, MAK series.
