Overview
Wolverton Solutions is an IT solutions provider offering more than IT support. We are a bespoke, trusted consultancy for risk management, cyber security, and compliance, working with some of the UK's leading brands in hospitality, manufacturing and retail.
This is a full-time Field Engineer role covering the Greater London area with work-from-home flexibility. Travel across the UK will be necessary at times, so a full UK driver's license is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day technical tasks including troubleshooting technical issues, installing and commissioning equipment and networks, and providing field service and maintenance for installed equipment including routers, switches, PCs, servers and EPOS equipment.
- Provide remote technical support to our customers and support projects with guidance from our expert team.
- Travel to client sites to ensure technical support and maintenance are provided promptly and professionally. Occasional paid overtime work is likely.
Qualifications
- Patience and effective troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Excellent, empathetic communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Field Service, MSP or similar IT/Technical Support experience desirable.
- Working knowledge of routers, networking, Internet/broadband troubleshooting, Windows, Mac and Android operating systems, general IP subnetting and DNS principles.
- Ongoing training and certification support will be provided.
- Ability to work and learn independently with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
- CompTIA A+, N+, degree or relevant technical certification or experience desirable.
- Full valid driver's license for travel to client sites required.
