The role
With our unique, AI-driven solution, we help many of the world's largest industrial companies reduce energy waste, prevent water pollution events, and eliminate unplanned downtime. To build on that impact, we’re looking for a Field Reliability & Efficiency Engineer (internally
titled Reliability & Efficiency Technical Expert) to work closely with customers across the South of England.
This is a field-based role, and you’ll spend a significant portion of your time on-site with our customers. Join us in our mission to make industrial companies more sustainable.
Your challenge
Be the technical face of Samotics for our UK customer base
You will co-locate with our strategic clients weekly, helping to guide them on their reliability & efficiency journey.
Lead installation, diagnostics, and optimisation efforts for SAM4 hardware on site
Act on failure warnings and conduct root cause analysis using your maintenance expertise
Advise on energy-saving opportunities, helping customers take concrete actions
Work with project leads to embed SAM4 into their daily workflows and roles
Collaborate with the Customer Success Manager to align support with long-term goals
Support contractors and framework partners involved in maintenance or installation
Deliver clear, actionable reports and share insights from field experience with our internal teams
What you’ll bring
5–10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, reliability, or operations
Based in the South of the UK with willingness to travel regionally
Hands-on knowledge of equipment like motors, gearboxes, pumps, and drives
Familiarity with condition-based maintenance techniques (vibration, inspections, etc.)
Comfortable working with IoT devices and digital tools
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
UK driving license
Qualifications Desired:
Experience in water/wastewater utilities
Certification in vibration analysis or condition monitoring (e.g. ISO 18436)
HNC/HND or equivalent technical qualifications
