The Role – Product Specialist

Overview
Role: Product Specialist. The position is home and office based with responsibilities spanning verification and calibration, service, decommission/re-commission, fault-finding, retrofitting, and software/hardware upgrades for CMMs.
Responsibilities
- Verification and calibration of CMMs (under UKAS & ISO 10360 Standards).
- Service of CMMs to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Decommission, move and re-commission of CMMs.
- Fault-finding, diagnosis and repair.
- Retrofitting and the re-building of CMMs.
- Upgrade and installation of CMM software and hardware.
- Accurate and concise administrative paperwork.
- Core working hours – Monday to Friday (8:00–16:30 Monday-Thursday, 8:00–15:30 on Friday) with flexibility as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experienced engineer with a well-rounded aptitude and a positive, outgoing nature.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering; role supports integration within the service department and development of product offerings for Manual and CNC controlled high-precision measuring machines.
- Advanced competency in IT and Microsoft Windows; familiarity with Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence’s PC-DMIS is preferred though not mandatory.
- Confident customer service, team player, high energy, eager to learn, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
- Long-term commitment with potential for growth in a fast-paced, expanding business.
- Full driving license (no more than 6 points) and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays and occasional travel to Ireland or outside the UK.

- Salary: £30,000 to £40,000+ per annum (negotiable depending on experience).
