The Role

Alignment Search And Selection is working with a leading renewable energy equipment manufacturer to recruit a Field Service Engineer to support their expanding UK customer base. This home-based role will cover the

northern half of the UK , providing planned maintenance, technical support, and emergency breakdown response for a range of advanced renewable energy systems.

Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled servicing, diagnostics and repairs on renewable energy systems at client sites across the North of the UK.

Provide technical support and training to customers, ensuring high standards of service and equipment performance.

Respond to breakdowns and urgent call-outs, often working independently and managing your own diary.

Maintain accurate service records and report any ongoing issues or improvement opportunities.

Work closely with technical support and engineering teams to resolve complex issues.

Candidate Requirements

A strong background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, ideally with experience in renewable energy technologies (e.g. wind, solar, battery storage or related systems).

Previous field service experience is essential, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Comfortable travelling across the North of the UK, with occasional overnight stays as required.

Relevant qualifications in engineering (ONC/HNC/apprenticeship or equivalent).

Full UK driving licence.

Whats on Offer

Salary of £42,000

£50,000, depending on experience

Overtime and on-call allowance (realistic OTE up to £60,000+)
