The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing Hiab and third-party equipment, while providing a high level of customer service through product knowledge and customer interaction.
This is a remote position for the UK.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Undertakes servicing of Hiab or third-party equipment at customer sites.
- Completes all service, repair, warranty, and inspection jobs allocated daily, to a high-quality standard.
- Builds strong rapport and relationships with customers through professional behavior and a customer-focused mindset.
- Responds to routine inquiries from customers about technical aspects of the organization's products and services.
- Completes all job-related paperwork accurately and promptly to ensure correct invoicing.
- Troubleshoots, investigates, and resolves standard technical problems to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
- Develops skills and knowledge of the organization's products and services.
- Carries out assigned tasks safely, in accordance with instructions, safety rules, procedures, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Supports the company's efforts to reduce accidents/incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in safety initiatives.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualifications.
Working experience:
- Experienced multi-skilled engineer.
- Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical operations.
Competence and skills:
- Excellent customer-focused approach.
- Quality-oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Self-starter with enthusiasm and drive.
- Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
