Field Service Engineer\n\nLocation: Ideally based between Manchester and Oxford (covering the central region of the UK)\n\nSalary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)\n\nBenefits: Paid door-to-door, overtime after 40 hours, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, pension, and medical insurance\n\nWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our growing UK team. You will play a key role in supporting customers across the region, providing maintenance, repair and services on a range of automated packaging machinery.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to build a long-term career with a leading equipment supplier, offering structured training, development, and the chance to work with advanced packaging technology.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Provide on-site service, maintenance, and breakdown support for packaging machinery (e.g. tray sealers, MHWs, baggers, sleevers, thermoformers, etc.)\n\n * Carry out equipment installations and commissioning at customer sites\n\n * Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues\n\n * Deliver excellent customer service and technical support, ensuring minimal downtime for clients\n\n * Work closely with the wider service engineering team to share knowledge and support rotational overtime and call-out duties\n\n * Maintain accurate service documentation and reports\n\nAbout You\n\n * The ideal candidate will have worked within a Service Engineering role before, we are open to industry sector.\n\n * Education: HNC, B-Tec, Apprenticeship trained or similar.
Within a relevant technical discipline (electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics)\n\n * Experience within the food or packaging machinery industry is highly advantageous but by no means essential\n\n * Comfortable with regular travel and occasional weekend, or night work as required\n\n * Proactive, hands-on, and eager to learn and develop within a dynamic engineering environment\n\n * Team-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
