Field Service Engineer , you will be carrying out service, repair, and maintenance work on specialist equipment in the field. You'll be customer-facing, providing a professional service, ensuring reliability of equipment, and delivering a first-class experience for clients. Key responsibilities include: Servicing and repairing a range of specialist engineering equipment. Completing warranty work and all associated job documentation accurately. Coordinating with the service team to ensure efficient scheduling of work. Promoting parts and services to customers when appropriate. Ordering parts and managing administration linked to each job. Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota as required. Occasional nights away and travel to other UK sites may be necessary. About You We are looking for a hands-on engineer with the right blend of technical expertise and customer service skills. Skills & experience required: Strong engineering background in heavy plant, LGV, agricultural, materials handling, or automotive. Knowledge of IC engines, hydraulic systems, and auto-electrical systems. Experience of working on high-value capital equipment. Full UK driving licence (HGV desirable). Confident IT skills (Microsoft Office). Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently. Personal qualities: Professional and customer-focused. Problem solver with excellent communication skills. Self-motivated and able to manage workload effectively. Team player with a positive, proactive approach.
