Mitchell’s are one the of the UK’s leading engine and transmission engineering organisations, and we are recruiting Field Service Engineers across the South. Our Field Service Engineers provide on-site diagnostic and repair services for a wide range of customers and industry sectors. All of our engineers are trained and equipped to OEM standards focussing on fault finding and diagnostics, providing detailed reports and completing the repairs required.
Our engineers represent market leading manufacturers such as Allison, MTU, Volvo, JCB and Kubota working on the widest range of units imaginable, everything from Construction Equipment to Super Yachts and Trains.
*CORE DUTIES:*
· On site Diagnostics, Fault Finding and repair of Customer Engines and Transmissions.
· Production of job reports detailing faults found and repairs required.
· Warranty related fault investigation and reports.
· On site completion of manufacturer guided repairs and service campaigns.
· Removal and Refit of transmissions and engines in a wide range of applications.
· Timely submission of all manufacturer and Mitchell’s job related admin.

* Adherence to business and franchised partner quality control procedures. * Highlight engineering and QHSE concerns to field service supervisor. * Test and evaluation of completed units to ensure customer satisfaction in line with company ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 policies. * Completion of online and instructor led training ensuring QHSE knowledge is at required level.
· Attend and complete manufacturer specific training programs as required
*SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:*
· Strong Mechanical aptitude with excellent fault finding skills
· Experience working with Diesel Engine and High Pressure Fuel Injection
· Have a methodical approach to work and demonstrate high level of attention to detail
· Effective team player with the ability to also work under own initiative
· Good degree of IT literacy and ability to utilise diagnostic software
· NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or Min 3 years equivalent experience in mechanical engineering
· Flexibility for overtime, national and international travel and workshop tasks will be expected
Company Van with personal use option and Company Uniform is provided for this role.
