Field Service Engineer - Unique Custom Machinery
Location: Corby (with national and international travel)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established manufacturer of unique custom machinery as a Field Service Engineer. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role, ideal for someone who thrives on variety, problem-solving, and travel.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair machinery, including conveyor systems

Carry out servicing on-site and provide technical guidance to customers

Demonstrate correct machinery usage to operators and site teams

Work in confined spaces when required

Test and commission equipment after installation or repair

Ensure compliance with quality control procedures to maintain high service standards

Complete all relevant paperwork, including time sheets and service reports

Travel to various client sites nationally and internationally (essential)

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and installation

NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, or a time-served mechanical engineering apprenticeship

Strong mechanical fitting and electrical engineering skills

Good working knowledge of electrical principles

Full UK Driving Licence and valid passport (essential for travel)

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with clients at all levels
