Overview

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. You will be responsible for on-site service, maintenance, and technical support of packaging machinery, representing the company with professionalism and technical expertise. This is a field-based role requiring flexibility to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays.

Package

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm


• Base salary: £45,000 (starting)


• Overtime pay: Weekdays 1.5x / Weekends 2x


• Company car scheme


• Expenses: Fully covered


• Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain packaging machinery at customer sites


• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation-related faults, ensuring minimal downtime


• Perform routine servicing and emergency repairs on all equipment and machinery


• Deliver technical training and hands-on support to customer operators


• Complete and submit detailed service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation accurately and on time

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a field service engineering role


• Willingness to travel and stay in hotels (expenses fully covered)


• Full UK driving licence


• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
