Field Service Engineer

Salary £28,238 dependent on experience

Based at Welwyn Garden City AL7 covering Barnet, East Berkshire and Bedfordshire

Full UK driving licence required

Full time – on call 1 in 4 – additional £100 for on call week + overtime for hours outside normal contracted hours

Job purpose:

The Service Engineer will enable the Company to achieve the agreed contractual standard of service required by completing initial training in the workshop reconditioning wheelchair equipment to gain essential product knowledge. On completion of initial training this will enable you to work out in the field delivering, collecting, repairing, and servicing wheelchairs. The expectation is that once fully trained most jobs will be completed on a first-time fix basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering and collecting wheelchairs to and from service user’s homes and NHS departments, always ensuring that the Company Infection Control Policy is followed. Servicing and repairing wheelchairs in the field with the aim of achieving a first time fix whenever possible. Ensure all paper work relating to each job is read carefully and completed with all the necessary information regarding parts used and action taken written onto the job card to enable the administration team to accurately update the data base.
