The Role
As a Fire Engineer, you will play a key role as the first point of contact between our client and their customers. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will ensure that all works are completed to a high standard, in line with contract requirements, safety regulations, and company policies. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills, who thrives on delivering a professional service.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out fire alarm servicing, maintenance, reactive repairs, and installation works
* Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently and effectively
* Deliver works to the required standards and in accordance with procedures.
* Provide outstanding customer service, upholding the company’s reputation
* Produce timely and accurate reports
* Adhere to quality management systems and ensure responsible recycling practices
* Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in fire alarm maintenance, installations, and repairs (public sector experience advantageous)
* FIA qualification desirable but not essential
* Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials
* Current trade qualifications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* IT literate with the ability to use reporting tools
* A genuine commitment to excellent customer service
Salary & Benefits
* Competitive salary based on experience (PAYE)
* 23 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day per full year of service (up to 25 days) + 8 bank holidays
* Option to sell back up to 3 days or carry over to the next holiday year

* All necessary tools and equipment provided
* Enhanced pay rates:
* Time and a half – evenings & Saturdays
* Double time – nights, Sundays & bank holidays
