Overview

We are seeking a Fire Damper Engineer in the London / M25 region, on behalf of one of our key clients. This role will be a remote position covering London and surrounding areas, working on fire dampers and smoke control systems within data centres, offices, schools and hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and surveys of fire dampers in commercial, residential, or industrial buildings to ensure compliance with relevant standards (such as BS9999 & BS9991).
  • Perform testing and maintenance routines to confirm that fire dampers are in optimal working order.
  • Identify faults, carry out cleaning, repairs or replace damaged components as required.
  • Document inspection findings, test results and remedial actions taken; prepare detailed reports for clients and building owners.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in fire damper engineering or a similar field is required.
  • Relevant Certifications: fire and smoke damper certificate is highly recommended.
  • Formal Training: A City & Guilds accredited fire damper testing course or similar e.g. PPL or GT1F 04 SCQF Level 5, highly beneficial.

Package

  • Basic salary from £32,000/pa to £40,000/pa depending on qualifications and experience.
