Fire & Security Engineer – Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You will ensure effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls and additional Small Works, ensuring compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of Fire Extinguishers/associated equipment and products to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards. Maintain appropriate documentation and records in a timely and accurate manner. Work to high levels of Health and Safety requirements and perform PPM, reactive calls and Small Works in the Fire & Security Systems industry. Perform service tests and inspections to relevant standards/codes, including fault-finding techniques. Attend and participate in company-initiated training to maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical aspects of the role. Experience with PPM, Accident Reporting, or RAMS and following Health and Safety Legislation, preferably in an engineering context. Share technical knowledge with colleagues, take initiative, and work with limited supervision.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in a similar Fire & Security role, carrying out PPM, reactive calls and Small Works. Strong communication skills and basic literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work to high Health and Safety standards and compliance with relevant regulations. Experience with RAMS, Accident Reporting, and following Health and Safety Legislation is preferred.
