Forge Manufacturing Engineer

Monday Thursday: 7:30 am to 4:15 pm
Friday: 7:30 am to 12:00 noon
About the Role:
We are looking for a Forge Manufacturing Engineer to join the team, with hands-on forging experience and strong technical ability in metal forming processes. The role will involve working with nickel and alloy materials, using forging, die casting, and associated techniques to produce high-strength components. You will be responsible for setting up machinery, interpreting CAD drawings, implementing SOPs, and supporting new product introductions.
This position is suitable for both experienced engineers and junior-level engineers, with career development opportunities provided.
Key Responsibilities for this Forge Manufacturing Engineer role:
Work with forging processes, manipulating single pieces of metal into shape for maximum product strength and durability.
Operate and set up mechanical presses, induction heaters, and die casting machines.
Carry out manual adjustments, bending, and forming operations as part of forging processes.
Use slitting machines and metal coating equipment in production.
Interpret and modify CAD drawings to meet design specifications.
Work with nickel and alloy materials to aerospace/engineering standards.
Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across production processes.
Hands-on support with hydraulic systems and equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults during production.
Collaborate with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team on tooling and process development.
Ensure quality standards are consistently met, with attention to detail in high-precision forging.
Skills & Experience Required for this Forge Manufacturing Engineer role:
Forging experience required.
Strong knowledge of forging, casting, and die-casting techniques.
Experience operating mechanical presses, induction heaters, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to interpret CAD drawings; SolidWorks experience desirable.
Familiarity with nickel and alloy materials.
Experience in implementing SOPs and ensuring compliance to quality standards.
Practical mechanical fault-finding skills.
Exposure to slitting machines and metal coating processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with methodology equipment (measuring liquids and gases).
SolidWorks or other CAD design tools.
Previous involvement in NPI projects.
