Our client is a leading provider of material handling solutions, specialising in the supply, maintenance, and repair of forklifts and related equipment. With a strong reputation for quality service and technical expertise, they work with businesses across the UK to ensure their equipment remains reliable, safe, and efficient.
They are now looking to hire a skilled
Forklift Technician with an electrical focus
to join their engineering team. This role involves carrying out electrical and mechanical servicing, diagnosing faults, and ensuring work meets the highest safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will also play an important role in supporting colleagues, mentoring junior engineers, and occasionally assisting clients on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance, and servicing on forklifts and material handling equipment
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults quickly and effectively
Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
Assist with managing the workshop and supporting the wider engineering team
Travel to client sites when required for servicing and repair work
What we're looking for:
Strong electrical engineering experience, ideally with forklifts or similar equipment
Relevant mechanical experience and qualifications
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues with minimal supervision
Willingness to mentor and support junior engineers
Valid UK driving licence and access to own transport (location is rural)
Commitment to health and safety best practices
English language proficiency at B1 level or higher (for sponsorship eligibility)
