Key Responsibilities: Own FPGA solution delivery from concept to production. Lead requirements gathering and FPGA architecture definition Guide and co-ordinate FPGA design efforts within the team Develop test benches and validate designs in-system Support proposals, estimates, and future tech roadmap initiatives
Essential Requirements of the FPGA Engineer: Solid understanding of FPGA-hardware integration Strong VHDL design & verification skills Hands-on debug & integration in hardware Skilled with Xilinx, Intel (Altera), or Microchip toolsets
Desirable Requirements of the FPGA Engineer: Experience with Embedded Firmware (C/C++/Assembler) Knowledge of PCIe/NVMe implementation Understanding of secure design
