Overview

Full Stack Software Engineer – City Of London, England, United Kingdom. Hybrid work arrangement: 1-2 days in the office (Central London).

Our client is a UK-based financial services provider launching credit cards, personal loans, and insurance offerings aimed at delivering fair, flexible, and user-friendly financial products. The organization is focused on empowering individuals by improving understanding and control of personal finance through clarity, intelligence, and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure high quality products.
  • Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance.
  • Provide code reviews, feedback, and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology trends, applications, and protocols.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role with a strong portfolio.
  • Expertise in Node.js and AWS Lambda for serverless backend services.
  • Proficiency in React with Next.js for frontend development.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Beneficial experience with React Native.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and web application architecture.
  • Experience in a start-up environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with automated testing suites (e.g., Jest or Mocha).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.
  • Experience with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, code signing, and deployment (App Store, Google Play).
  • Understanding of secure coding practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
