Gas Engineer - Birmingham (various sites) - £27 - £29 per hour
Involve Recruitment are seeking a skilled and reliable Gas Engineer to join our team for ongoing work across social housing properties. The role involves a mix of domestic gas tasks, including pipework modifications, appliance disconnections, and safety testing. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and values consistency.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out gas drop tests to ensure system integrity and safety
* Disconnect cookers and other gas appliances as required
* Move and modify pipework to suit property layouts and upgrades
* Work within occupied social housing environments with professionalism and care
* Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations and standards
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and safety checks
Requirements
* Must have Gas Safe qualification (registration)
* Must hold cooker qualification
* Proven experience in domestic gas engineering
* Strong understanding of gas safety procedures and regulations
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Excellent communication skills and a respectful approach to tenants. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
