*Responsibilities*
* Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, including boilers, cookers, and heating systems. * Conduct routine inspections and safety checks on gas installations to ensure compliance with regulations. * Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks related to gas system installation and repair. * Perform plumbing tasks as required, including pipe fitting and leak repairs. * Execute welding tasks for the assembly of gas systems when necessary. * Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with gas appliances and systems. * Carry out carpentry work as needed for installations or modifications related to gas systems. * Engage in heavy lifting as required for the transportation and installation of equipment. * Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during service calls. * Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times while working on-site.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems. * Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. * Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. * Familiarity with plumbing principles and practices is advantageous. * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. * A valid commercial driving licence is desirable for transportation of equipment to job sites. * Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. * Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
