Ivy Resource Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Gas Service / Breakdown Engineer to support a range of gas servicing and breakdown operations across both commercial and domestic properties. This is a mobile position, requiring flexibility to attend sites across the West Midlands mainly in Birmingham and Coventry also Leamington Spa, Hereford and Northampton ensuring a high-quality and safe service.

\nKey Responsibilities:\n

\n \n Service and maintain gas appliances across commercial and domestic environments

\n

\n

\n Perform fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on various heating systems

\n

\n

\n Conduct boiler and system breakdown inspections and safety checks

\n

\n

\n Install commercial boilers and associated plant systems

\n

\n

\n Respond promptly to reactive maintenance and breakdown call-outs

\n

\n

\n Ensure all works comply with current gas and health & safety regulations

\n

\n

\n Provide high first-time-fix rates and maintain excellent customer care

\n

\n

\n Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly

\n

\n

\n Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams

\n

\n

\n Maintain company property (tools, vehicle, PPE, etc.) in good working order

\n

\n

\n Actively identify and report opportunities for additional work

\n

\n

\nRequirements:\n

\n \n Proven experience in commercial gas servicing, maintenance, and fault finding

\n

\n

\n Hands-on knowledge of heating systems and appliances

\n

\n

\n Competent using test equipment, including electrical multi-meters

\n

\n

\n Ability to work independently and take initiative on-site

\n

\n

\n Flexible approach to travel and working hours (including overtime when required)

\n

\n

\n Willing to be part of the on-call rota

\n

\n

\n Full, clean UK driving licence

\n

\n

\n Strong communication and problem-solving skills

\n

\n

\n Positive, professional attitude with a commitment to quality

\n

\n

\nQualifications:\n

\n \n ACS certifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, CDGA1, CIGA1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CORT1, COMCAT

\n

\n
