Generator Service Engineer

Overview We are looking for a Generator Service Engineer to support the local depot. If you are a hands-on professional with experience in generator servicing, and you are passionate about delivering top-tier service, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Role and responsibilities
Service and maintain generator and plant equipment (hire fleet and customer owned) Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs Prepare equipment for hire and load/unload vehicles Install and disconnect equipment on-site, including synchronising and wiring where needed Take part in our on-call rota and support emergency callouts Maintain high standards of housekeeping and equipment condition Complete all required documentation accurately and on time Ensure company assets and vehicles are properly used and maintained
Essential qualifications
Experience working on generators, plant, or heavy engineering equipment GCSE or equivalent qualifications Forklift Truck Licence (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure Flexibility to work unsociable hours when required
