What you'll be doing:
Gather geotechnical and geoenvironmental data from a wide range of work environments across the UK.Undertake geotechnical analytical work, from planning, execution and reporting of Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical site investigationsManaging geotechnical project data to drive project deliverables.Managing field activities including assessment and analysis of geotechnical conditions and investigationsLeading the process between design/client/laboratory for laboratory testing programmes for soil and rock samplesPreparing and reviewing, analysing and interpreting geotechnical dataAssist with report writing and technical notesUndertake Research & Development projects including developing innovative engineering tools and solutionsAttend regular meetings with internal and external partiesUndertake soil and groundwater risk assessments, liaising with clientsWorking collaboratively with engineers and others to deliver quality reports Who we're looking for:
A minimum 2:2 BSc (Hons) in Geology, Civil Engineering or related subjectPrevious practical ground investigation or relevant construction experienceIn depth knowledge of ground investigation techniques and BS5930Experience with geotechnical data management software packages (Openground/Holebase/Gint/Pebble Geo)Ability to work effectively to deadlines and under pressureGood attention to detail and accuracy of workEffective planning and organisation skillsA structured approach to problem solvingHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsAwareness of the relevant legal and safety regulationsExperience with AutoCAD/Microsoft Visio [preferable]Experience with GPS/GNSS survey equipment Other Requirements:
