Graduate Civil Engineer – 2026 Development Programme – Peterborough

What you'll do:

  • Contribute to the design and construction of water treatment works, pipelines, pumping stations, and flood defences.
  • Undertake site visits, inspections, and surveys to support project development.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineer.
  • Support project management and stakeholder engagement across various stages of delivery.
  • Ensure all work aligns with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • What you'll bring to the role:

  • Final-year student or recent graduate with an ICE-accredited degree in Civil Engineering (or relevant discipline).
  • A passion for sustainable infrastructure and interest in the water sector.
  • Strong interest in innovation, sustainability, and positive societal impact, demonstrated through collaborative teamwork and proactive problem-solving.
  • Enthusiastic learner dedicated to personal and professional development, with a willingness to work towards professional qualifications or chartered status.
  • This role requires visits to sites across the UK. As such, we would expect you to have a driving licence or work towards obtaining one within your first year of working with us.
