Grid services and Compliance Engineer

Hybrid working model with offices across the county (3 days a week in office)- Cornwall, Glasgow and Hertfordshire
Up to £55,000 DOE + Benefits

For the last 40 years this client has been on a simple mission, to lead the way in renewable energy operations. They have now expanded to a portfolio extending over 28GW in the pipeline and an additional 45GW of assets in operational stages.

The group now extends its remit across the full project lifecycle, with this position sitting in the operational and asset function. The main focus will be the lead all of the grid related responsibilities across the asset portfolio.

The Role:
This position falls within the asset function, working closely with the advisory teams, asset managers and routes to market functions. This role is client facing, working hands on with asset led grid strategy. The main purpose of this position is to ensure the portfolio operated in full compliance with grid code requirements.

The main responsibilities include:
- Develop, review, and enhance the grid strategy for renewable assets in the Asset Management portfolio.
- Monitor and respond to changes in grid regulation, policies, and ancillary services.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders including Route to Markets, Energy networks and other teams both internally and externally.
- The first point of contact for all grid connection and compliance queries.

What you'll bring:
We are looking for somebody who is skilled and experienced with UK grid codes and ancillary services.
- Experience working with grid ancillary services and grid asset responsibilities.
Understanding of the UK grid network.
