OverviewBuild your career and be a part of a great teamWe are seeking an experienced Groundworks Engineer to support high-quality construction and civil engineering projects. This role requires strong technical skills in setting out, surveys, record keeping, and enabling works, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and to specification.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain up-to-date construction drawings, registers, and As-builtsCarry out site surveys and level checks prior to commencement of worksConfidently take overall responsibility for setting out all site elements, controlling line and levelUse Leica EDM equipment (TS06 / TS12 / TS16) for survey and layout tasksVerify building layout against site boundaries and resolve any discrepanciesTake off and order all groundworks and RC frame materials (drainage, waterproofing, concrete, rebar, cast-in items, etc.)Raise and track RFIs to resolve setting out or technical issuesImplement site Inspection Test Plans and ensure QA standards using FlowFormaRaise technical submittals and proactively close out site queriesIssue accurate records to QS and maintain thorough documentationUse CAD for technical drawings and site plansEssential RequirementsValid CSCS cardProven experience in groundworks, surveys, and enabling worksStrong record-keeping skills and attention to detailProactive, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to collaborate effectively with other trades and operativesRight to work in the UKGeneral ExpectationsCompletion of IT induction and training within the first 1–3 months of employmentReliable and punctualSupport programme delivery and project deadlinesPlease note that to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards affiliated with CSCS and carrying the CSCS hologram.
